How did I get here already? I feel like I started in advertising yesterday… At the same time, with all this stuff that’s happening – the super-smart AI, endless data, new technologies every week – it’s not surprising.
I tell myself, “but hold on, this is when it gets interesting!” Not the time to go sunning my toes in the sun.
Who told me already that at 60 you’ve done it all, you’re zen, you count the weeks before retirement? Meh! Too much fun, too many projects, too many things to share with my colleagues, my clients, my prospects, my suppliers.
That must be what keeps me young at heart: the sense of always being a junior starting over. I hope you’re feeling the same if you’re around my age. Restarting keeps the spark alive. There’s nothing better.
Anyway, I’m set to keep slogging away joyfully for many more years. Come on, happy birthday and get back to work, you lazybones. Yes, boss!
